A public forum concerning the proposed Brazoria County Livestock & Expo Center will be held at the Danbury School Cafeteria, Tuesday, October 21st at 7 p.m.

The presentation will be made by members of the Fairgrounds Vision Committee, and John Michael of Naismith Engineering, the senior engineer for the project.

The forum will include detailed information on the multi-purpose year-round facility, including ground layout maps, artists rendering of the proposed buildings, and a video presentation. All questions from the public will be gladly answered, including costs to the public, construction time, etc.

The proposal will be on the November 4 General Election ballot, and will include a main events arena, an exposition center and show pavilion, a banquet center, horse barns, and the renovation of some of the existing buildings at the fairgrounds.

A 94-page study produced by Texas A & M highly recommends the new facility be managed and marketed by a professional company. The committee has mirrored 100 percent of the A & M recommendations of this study in the proposal being made to the public.

Interested parties are invited to attend this forum that speaks to the future of all of Brazoria County. A website also has additional information at www.exponow2008.com.
