![]() ![]() Stephanie Cone (right), United Way of Brazoria County executive director, presents a $5,000 Community Building Grant to Bonnie Martin, executive director of the Brazoria County Alliance for Children. The grant is to help fund a "Victims NO MORE" handbook specifically designed for child abuse victims and their non-offending family members. Brazoria County Alliance for Children received a $5,000 Community Building Grant recently from United Way of Brazoria County. The grant will help fund a "Victims NO MORE" handbook specifically designed for child abuse victims and their non-offending family members. United Way's Community Building Grants are given every year to provide funding to various organizations for specific projects that will meet needs of Brazoria County. In addition to the grant program, United Way funds 63 programs that help children reach their potential, promote financial stability and independence, and improve health.
