West Brazos Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8551 Commander Glenn James places an American flag on the commemorative wreath at Brazoria Cemetery.

West Brazos Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8551 made their annual rounds West of the Brazos on Memorial Day 2008.

Each year this band of veterans conducts brief ceremonies in six local cemeteries to honor those who defended our country in wartimes.

Participating were James, Auxiliary President Katie Sanderson, Peggy Wilder, Donna James, George Hall, Charles Berry, Sherwin Simple, Danny Barton, Armando Reyes, Tunney Goodson, Webb Jones and Sammie Polk.
