Dr. Paul H. Wells, an internist, has joined the staff of Angleton Danbury Medical Center.

Wells earned his medical degree from the University Texas Medical Branch, Galveston. He completed his internship and residency at the University of Hawaii with a focus on primary care in rural areas. Board certified in internal medicine, Dr. Wells’ primary practice included opportunities for him to provide acute care, urgent care, outpatient and long term care for his patients. He has a special interest in preventive health, as well as the early diagnosis and treatment of heart disease, diabetes, and hyperlipidemia (high cholesterol).

Wells’ philosophy of health care involves embracing the care of patients as though they are his family. He believes that this philosophy has served him well in his years of practice. “Teaming up for a partnership with my patients through education is also key to maintaining their “best health,” Wells said.

A native of the Texas Gulf Coast, Dr. Wells, enjoys fishing, sailing, water sports, ocean science, and golf.

Wells’ office is located at 2327 E. Hwy. 35, in the Urgent Care Center. To schedule an appointment, call 979-848-8070.
