Valentines for Vets

Jefferson Cisneros, a first grader, presents valentines from art students at Wild Peach Elementary to Jo Conway, children’s specialist at the Brazoria Branch Library.

Each year Wild Peach students participate in creating valentines for veterans and donate them to the Veterans Hospital in Houston.

“Valentines for Vets” is facilitated by the library, while fine arts teacher Anice Fenley coordinates the project in class.

The art activity is especially meaningful to Jefferson, whose dad is a veteran of the Vietnam War.
