With a strong desire to return to the field of investigation, she was promoted to Identification Officer, which carries the duties of observing, defining, collecting, and preserving evidence. Parmiter excelled in these areas, and was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant after completing hundreds of crime scene investigations. ![]() In 2007 her squad completed 5,734 criminal cases ranging from misdemeanor theft to first degree murder while working 14,258 hours.
