Howarth honored
for KAB accolade

Brazoria County Commissioners Court honored David Howarth of Lake Jackson with a resolution for his selection as the Keep America Beautiful's top accolade.

Howarth received the KAB's Iron Eyes Cody Award, given annually to a man who demonstrates outstanding leadership in promoting the organization's mission.

Shown (from left) are Commissioners Stacy Adams and Mary Ruth Rhodenbaugh; County Judge E.J. "Joe" King, Howarth; and Commissioners Donald "Dude" Payne and Matt Sebesta.

Exchange Club contributes to Ring of Honor

The Exchange Club of Angleton recently presented a check for $3,500 to help fund construction of the Brazoria County Ring of Honor, which will pay tribute to those who gave their lives in service to our country.

Shown above (from left) are Robert Worley, Buddy Moore, Rodney Weems, Ro'Vin Novak, Joyce Hudman, Sonya Broadway, Glen Moody, Brazoria County Veterans Service Officer John Jerabeck, County Commissioner Donald "Dude" Payne, and Leslie Bryson.

Funding for the project was earned through the club's sponsorship of the Carson and Barnes Circus, which had an outstanding attendance thanks to the support by county residents of the Ring of Honor project.
