Carter named Advisor of Year

Brazosport College’s Student Activity Specialist Leslie Carter was recently awarded the 2007-2008 Texas Junior College Student Government Association Joel Franke Memorial Advisor of the Year award.

Brazosport College Student Senate members nominated Leslie for this award. The students had to prepare an essay and presentation to present to the TJCSGA Awards Committee. The winner is chosen based on their impact on the college, community, and local and state government.

“Truthfully, I am very honored to have received this award, but I believe my students deserve the credit,” said Carter.
