River is an approximately 22-year-old grade gelding. He came to the Bluebonnet Equine Humane Society from a neglect case, but he's recovered well. He was a stallion until recently, but he is currently pastured with a gelding and doing fine. He is easy to catch and has good ground manners. He leads well, stands tied and loads. He is well-broke to ride and has been ridden in an English saddle. He responds to rein aids and leg aids. He walks, trots, canters and stops on command and knows how to leg yield. He's quiet under saddle and will make someone an excellent riding or show horse. River’s adoption fee is $950. To learn more about him visit his Web page at http://www.bluebonnetequine.org/horses/River.htm.
