MDA thanks area for successful campaign

Editor’s Note: Perhaps best known for the Jerry Lewis Labor Day Telethon, the Muscular Dystrophy Association coordinates countless programs, camps and research to help fight against more than 40 neuromuscular diseases.

From June 8 to 14, MDA sent more than 95 Houston and Beaumont area children and young adults living with muscular dystrophy to its annual MDA Summer Camp at “Camp For All” in Burton, Texas. Many of the campers live in the area that the Angleton-Danbury-Rosharon Weekly Journal caters to, as do many of the sponsors that helped make this camp such a tremendous success, from the send-off party on June 8 at the Westchase Marriot in Houston to the talent shows, dances and goodbyes that wrapped up the week.

We at the Houston-Gulf Coast area MDA want to personally thank them through this Letter to the Editor as an expression of our appreciation and gratitude.
