Ms. Bardwell,

I too have knocked hundreds of doors in town, obviously not yours, but I would love to tell you why John and I are different. The main thing is my disposition. I am a fighter, I will stand up for things that most others do not have the nerve to, and no one pushes me around. You are right that I have not been to as many council meetings and served on the Parks Board, but my involvement goes on much beyond that.

I am in touch with the community on a much more personal level, that truly effects peoples lives: I shop local, I have sponsored numerous charities and youth organizations, I own two homes in Angleton, I work in Angleton, I eat at all of our local establishments, I have two businesses in Angleton, and three more in my immediate family, I go to church here, I went of to receive a degree and brought my teachings back here, I have coached softball, and take seventy or so youth to camp in the summer, I have worked for two state reps, the lieutenant governor, and a US senator, I have children, I had at least a 20 hour per week job since I was 15, I am remodeling old homes in the old part of town, that I enjoy because of the excitement people get when they comment on how they are happy to see someone improving “Old Angleton.”

I am not the one who has been chosen by the powers that be, but I will do a fine job, because I will do what people say. I would love to share with you why I would like your support, if you are going to vote in the upcoming runoff. You have obviously made up your mind before I had a chance to tell you why I am a different candidate then my opponent, but I guess that is what most people do. I am a leader, and I realize that good leaders listen to the people. There has been some chatter that I will not “go with the flow”, but that is exactly why Angleton needs me right now. I will ask questions about what is happening in our city, and I will be an independent voice for Angleton citizens.

My opponent is a good person, I have no question about his integrity, his service, or that it is a dream of his to serve Angleton on city council. For me serving as your next councilman is the beginning of my dream to make an impact on our city, state and country. It is time that people stand back up for their right to a voice in this country. I am here to be that voice.
